Autumn Newsletter 2013
Autumn Newsletter 2013
Sorry ladies it has been awhile since we have written a newsletter, we have been busy stocktaking and unpacking boxes of new products to put on the shelves. So if you haven’t been into the shop for a while do come in and have a look at all the new fabrics that have been coming in. They are all beautiful and waiting to be put into a lovely quilt.
Julie and I have been busy these last few weeks putting together our next BOM, Cinderberry’s ‘Tail feathers’, a lovely quilt featuring stitchery’s of birds, with a small amount of appliqué. We have chosen a fabric range called sentiments by 3 sisters. We hope to have it sewn up soon. Below is a sneak peak at the centre block, it’s just lovely! Places will be limited so if you are interested give us a call.
We have also been finalising our winter class list as well. We plan to do a needle case by ‘the Birdhouse’ (see photo below), which can be made into any fabric choice you like, we have used brown and blue to go with the colours of the stitchery. This class is scheduled to run on June 20th and 27th, again if you are interested give us a call as places will be limited. We also have two projects by House on the Hill planned, the ‘Tea garden’ wall hanging and ‘Days in Provence’ a small patchwork and stitchery quilt; these will be run in July and August. Plus we have our regular stitch n’ sew classes running every Friday morning 10-12 (in term time), the cost is $5 per class and bookings are required as we have limited classroom space. All of these classes with photos will be up on our blog site soon.
As I mentioned before we have had a lot of new fabrics come in over the last month and some exciting new projects that we are working on in the studio. So it’s going to be a busy winter. So with this in mind we have decided to hold an open evening on Monday 17th June between 7-9pm. Everyone is welcome and we are offering 15% off all our fabrics and patterns on that night, so come in and stock up for winter.
Well that’s about all we have time for now, I’m sure I’ve missed out plenty, so do come in and see us soon. We are sure to have a suitable project or two to keep you busy over the winter.
Happy sewing and stitching
Kelly & Julie.
