Until then, happy stitching,
Kelly & Julie.
New Patterns
The first of our new patterns is called Topiary Trio, it is very traditional, featuring a rose, lavender and daisy topiary bush. These can be framed as we have done over canvas boards or framed in a lovely shabby chic or wooden frame, we also think they would suit a cushion cover.
The second of our patterns is called floral bouquet and is a beautiful stitchery created using a variety of stitches from french knots to bullion. We have chosen to frame this one. This would also look lovely stitched on a different background fabric using darker DMC colours.
Both of these patterns are available now, so pop into see us if your interested. We also have a number of craft shops who also stock our patterns so check out the list on our retailers page.
We have just had a big change around in store so come in and have a look, you may just be inspired.
Happy crafting,
Kelly & Julie.

Plenty happening at the studio……
Photographed is our first weekend wonder kit I wrote about on my last post. I have managed to find a heart stitchery pincushion to show you. Both of these are now available in kit form, $10 per kit. We will be doing a class in term three for these, so keep an eye on our class list for details.
Also photographed is one of our next pattern designs. We have been quietly working on this in our studio, the colours are lovely and we are quite excited about this one. We hope to have this out soon.

We have limited places so give us a call if you would like to give any of these a go. They are designed to be simple, so they can be finished in the time allowed, its always nice to go home with a completed project (or almost!). Check out our list on the Classes page for more details.
Until next time, happy stitching.

Busy at the studio…..
We have been busy at the Studio this week working on our class list for next term. We have a few lovely classes lined up, so please keep an eye out for details as they appear, numbers will be limited so it will pay to register early if you wish to attend.
We have also been working on our “weekend wonder” kits, small projects that can be worked on in a just a few hours, hence the name weekend wonders. Sometimes we just don’t have the time to complete big projects but also want a sense of acheivement in our week, these are perfect as they are able to be completed in an hour or two. We hope to have a few to pick from, our first being a pincushion with a lovely small stitchery in its centre. The cost for these small kits is $10 and they contain everything to make up the cushion but the fibre fill. Lovely as a gift or for your own sewing room.
Photographed today is one of our handmade lavender hearts, a perfect little gift for that someone special, Mum, Grandma, Auntie, sister, daughter or friend. These are only $8.50 and smell divine. We have other lovely colours to pick from, as well as small bags of lavender if you wish to make your own.
So if your interested in attending a class or are looking for a small handmade gift, call in and see us, we would love to meet you.
Until then, happy stitching,
Kelly & Julie.

Just a quick note to wish you all a Happy New Year, lets hope its a good one full of happy moments, laughter and plenty of stitching!.
We are taking a break over January to catch up with family & friends and to take a well-earned holiday so the Studio will be closed over this time, we will re-open on Friday February 3rd. If you are passing through Rakaia and would like to pop in, do give us a call, one of us will pop up and open for you and your friends. In the mean time enjoy the summer and keep working on those craft projects.
Happy Stitching
Kelly & Julie.
Christmas is almost here…..
Christmas is almost upon us! and as you can see from the photo we have our tree up and decorated. We have chosen to cover it with handmade decorations this year (plus a few bought). It looks great in our window and we have had some lovely comments about it.
We have been busy at the studio lately with our new craft group up and running on Friday mornings, we have met some lovely local ladies that are passionate about their craft. We have also had our christmas bauble class this week, it was a fun morning with lots of laughs, all of the ladies completed their baubles, they were also very keen to go home and make more. This class will run again next year, most likely in winter, we will keep you informed as to when.
As you can see we have a lovely range of handmade giftware in, if you are looking for a baby gift we have a local lady who knits for us, she has a beautiful range of booties available at good prices. We also have a large range of lavender bags and sachets, always an easy gift to post, featured are our lavender hanky sachets, they smell divine and look lovely too. So if you are looking for a last minute gift do come and see us, we would love to meet you.
Until next time happy stitching.
Julie & Kelly.
Christmas is coming…..
As you can see we are starting to get our Christmas decorations up at the studio. We have had fun making these quick and easy little felt Christmas stockings. They look very effective hanging from the mantle piece or on your Christmas tree. A great place to hide little Christmas treats too.
Lately we have had many people popping into the studio, now the warmer weather has appeared. It is always fun chatting to fellow stitchers and finding out what they are creating at the moment. So do come and see us, we are not far from the main road and we are always happy to meet new people.
This Friday morning we are starting our first craft group with people bringing their own projects to work on. The criteria is that they wear a smile and also bring fun and laughter with them leaving their troubles at the door.( Just kidding!!). We are looking forward to seeing what everyone is working on, it should be a good morning.
Until next time happy stitching
Kelly and Julie
Welcome
At long last we have a studio to work from and a blog to communicate with!!!
When we first started to design a blog we didn’t realise we would be opening a small studio so soon. This has been a lot of fun and a few sleepless nights along the way, but we are finally open. (more photos on our Studio page.)
In between organising our new studio we have been busy designing our new Christmas range of patterns, which we are happy to say are now available in the shops. We look forward to designing more patterns from our new location and hopefully holding a few classes in the near future, so watch this space!
Do come in and see us if you are passing we would love to meet you. Until then happy stitching.
Kelly and Julie
